If for example you are a 36C "bra" size, the 36” is the measurement from under the bust (F on the diagram above), the C is your cup size and this is because your BUST (A on the diagram above) measures approx 3” more around the fullest part so you will be 36” + 3” = approx a size 39” bust, making you a size 16 in our sizing chart. (this is for guidance only)

B = Waist - This is your natural waist, this is the slimmest part of the of the body, directly below the last ribs in the ribcage and a few inches above the tummy button, NOT the fullest part of the tummy. The tape measure should sit just above the tummy button. If you find that you measure Bust 14/Waist 20/Hips 14 in relation to our sizing chart, we guarantee that you are taking this measurement incorrectly.

C = Hips – This measurement is around the fullest part of your bottom (not around the hip bones), although not an essential measurement for an 'A' line skirt/dress as the dress flairs away from the hips, it is however an essential measurement for a straight skirt.

Height/Length - As a rule, all of our dresses measure 58" from the tip of the shoulder to the hem.

Rules to follow: If unsure or you fall between sizes work to your largest measurement and always buy bigger, so if you measure bust 22, waist 24 Hips 22, this would indicate that you need a size 24 from our collection. It’s much easier to have a dress taken in than let out. Remember underwear can affect your sizing, always measure yourself with underwear similar to that you intend to wear on the day, I.e underwired/padded bra.

If you still are unsure, most ladies know their bra size, email us with this, it often gives us a good guide to work from, to help you. Also if you have a comfortable skirt/trousers (non elasticated and NOT hipsters) if you measure the waist band on these, again it will be a good indication of your required size from our range.

E-mail us with as much of the above info as you can, we will gladly help you by advising the best fitting size or helping you to highlight mis-measures, its what we are here for. We would rather assist you to ensure your get the best from your buying experience.

A, Chest - Measure around the fullest part of your child’s chest.

B, Waist - This is your child’s natural waist, below the rib cage and just above the hip bones, NOT the fullest part of the tummy. The tape measure should sit just above the tummy button.

C, Nape to Floor - This measurement is from the nape which is found on the spine approx 2” above shoulder height, and is a small bone that protrudes slightly, if in any doubt measure your child from shoulder to hem and add 2” as a rough guide. Children’s dresses are designed to sit 3-6” off the floor to prevent tripping when walking.

Height – All children’s dresses measure different lengths, so please be sure to measure them in a shoe that resembles the heel height you wish them to wear on the day.

Rules to follow: If unsure or your child falls between sizes work to their fullest measurement and always buy bigger. Its much easier to have a dress taken in than let out. Shoe heel height can make a difference !! and please do not buy purely based on the child’s age.

A = Bust - Measure around the fullest part of your bust, and always try and wear a bra similar to one that you would wear on the day if under wired, measure yourself around an under wired bra.

F = Bra size – There is a difference between your BRA size and your BUST size. Tailors do not work with the bra measurement, so it is important that you measure around the fullest part of your bust and back to provide us with you A, BUST measurement.

ALWAYS ASK A FAMILY MEMBER TO TAKE YOUR MEASUREMENTS FOR ACCURACY.

Please note we do not make to custom sizing, we manufacture ONLY to the sizing charts given below.
